En la calle de Echegaray, antiguamente del Lobo, podemos encontrar un tablao con nombre de exótica especia “CARDAMOMO”, lugar en el que el flamenco es cercano y puede sentirse la magia del baile, cante y toque en un ambiente cargado de flamencura. Pasear por esta calle y no sentir la llamada del compás que surge de este tablao es como estar en una taberna y no catar el vino, cosa que se puede hacer en el interior mientras se cena y se da rienda suelta a los sentidos latidos flamencos. De aquí surgieron músicos que supieron sazonar con nuevos sonidos, antiguas historias: La Barbería del Sur, Chano Domínguez, Enrique Morente, El Cigala y otros artistas que dejaron y dejan sus sensaciones flamencas para que los que tengan la inquietud de traspasar sus puertas, no salga indiferente.
El innovador espectáculo que estrenado esta temporada en Cardamomo da continuidad a una programación que apuesta por la expresión artística y vital del auténtico flamenco, escenificando su verdad y su pasión por la vida.
Cada artista es flamenco desde que despierta hasta que se despide del día: es flamenco en familia, en Cardamomo, entre amigos, en sus encuentros y festejos.
Con la misma naturalidad, cantaores, guitarras y bailaores expresan sus vivencias cotidianas y sentimientos comunes a ritmo de palo flamenco.
CHRONICLE OF THE TABLAOS — CARDAMOMO
On Echegaray street, formerly Lobo Street, there is a Flamenco theatre (a tablao) bearing the name of an exotic spice: “CARDAMOMO” (Cardamom); a place where one can feel the magic of the dancing, the singing and the soul of a venue which exudes the spirit of Flamenco. To wander along this street and not feel the calling of the rhythms emanating from this tablao is like being in a tavern and not tasting its wines; at Cardamomo not only can you taste wine with dinner, but you can also savour the art of Flamenco in all its glory. This has been the place where musicians have learned to give a new sound to the stories of yesteryear: La Barbería del Sur, Chano Domínguez, Enrique Morente, El Cigala and other artists, whose takes on Flamenco have remained and still remain, touching and moving all those who visit Cardamomo.
The innovative show performed this season at Cardamomo continues along the lines of productions which seek to explore the artistic and vital expression of authentic Flamenco, depicting its true spirit and passion for life.
Every artist is the embodiment of Flamenco from dawn to dusk: Flamenco at home, at Cardamomo, among friends, at parties and fiestas.
Sharing the same natural and spontaneous approach, Flamenco singers, guitarists and dancers express their daily feelings and experiences to the rhythm of Flamenco.
